Pretty Izzie!

It's taken some time, but Isabel is mostly sleeping in her crib at night. Well, when she is sleeping that is. But, after many months of sleeping in a car seat, swing or bouncy seat...I'd say this is a step in the right direction.
This new stage came about quite by accident. One night I put her in her crib asleep, and she woke up about 30 minutes later screaming. I knew she wasn't hungry so I tried to soothe her without picking her up. It didn't work. After 20 minutes she was still crying and in a moment of helplessness I rolled her over on her tummy. Up until that very moment, being on her tummy had been the worst possible thing you could do to her. She hated it. But this particular night, she put a finer in her mouth and quickly nodded off...for 5 hours. We're on to something I thought to myself.

Since then, I routinely put her down on her tummy. Now we actually have some resemblance of a nap and bed time schedule. I like schedules. I am not a fan of the unknown. She does still wake up every 3 hours or so to nurse, but goes right back to sleep. This is good, very very good. She also has started liking tummy time and spends much more time on her belly. I think it has really helped her head shape, but what do I know?

Thanks. Someone on Jacob's side of the family knitted it for him when Iw as preggo with him. He doesn't want much to do with it now since it has "mostly girl" colors in it...whatever that means! :)

Great to hear that you may be on to something. I love the bow in the pics, by the way!
